OREANDA-NEWS. September 09, 2014. This decision was made by the government of Moldova, which decided that responsibility for lending in agriculture, agro-processing and associated infrastructure will be born by the Agency for interventions and payments, and for the lending industry and associated infrastructure Bureau for implementation of the grant of the government of Japan.

It is planned that these two structures will develop regulations for implementation of the Moldovan-Polish intergovernmental agreement on the allocation of loan of 100 million euros to Moldova and approved by the joint order of the Ministers of agriculture and food industry, economy and Finance. Control over the implementation of the agreement was assigned to the Ministry of agriculture and food industry (agriculture) and the Ministry of economy. As it was informed before, the Polish loan will be provided to Moldova for the period of 25 years under 0.15% p.a. with a 5-year deferral of payments.

The funds will be used to finance projects on modernization of the agricultural sector of Moldova, the restructuring of agriculture, the development of its infrastructure, in particular, farms engaged in the production of the traditional agricultural products - milk and meat, as well as other competitive agricultural products. Polish loan will allow Moldova to invest in modern technologies for processing agricultural and food products. It is planned that the funds of loan will allow farmers of Moldova to buy modern equipment and machinery, in particular, machines for planting, harvesting carrots, beets, onions, potatoes.

Polish loan will be used for the construction of modern warehouses for storage and vegetable processing, procurement, production lines for sorting, washing and packing vegetables for modernization of the poultry sector, in particular, the construction of a modern incubator, modernization of farms, the establishment of a plant for the production of the egg powder. Funds are also intended for the construction of modern poultry slaughters, upgrading lines for milk processing and network for its acceptance among population, construction and equipping of modern livestock farms and slaughterhouses.
