OREANDA-NEWS. Aviadvigatel has increased the productivity of its design bureau employees and thanks to Precise monitoring system can now troubleshoot any problems with Teamcenter, one of the key services responsible for management of the entire product lifecycle, 54% faster than before. CROC implemented the project within four months.

"We can now evaluate the speed and quality of key processes more efficiently, reduce production system downtime to a minimum in case of failure, and use existing hardware capacities more effectively. As a result, the productivity of Teamcenter users has improved. This positively effects product quality and reduces design and production times," said Sergey Bormalev, IT Director of Aviadvigatel.

"All product development at Aviadvigatel - from design to drafting operational documentation - is supported by the product lifecycle management system, Siemens PDM Teamcenter. However, the system's performance diagnostics was not effective enough. For example, to timely detect failures, the customer had to use multiple analytical tools - a process which was inconvenient and time consuming. We suggested the implementation of the Precise monitoring system, which, on its own, quickly detects problems, spares administrators from routine operations, collects and stores all performance statistics, and also allows administrators to proactively respond to service degradation", said Georgy Denisov, Corporate Account Director, CROC.

The monitoring system deployed as part of the project covers several related computer resources which form the basis for the Teamcenter lifecycle management system. Performance information collection has been unified, and a flexible graphic interface was created to make the work of Aviadvigatel experts more comfortable. Also, the graphic interface is used for both centralized system management and performance diagnostics.

“Precise is used by more than 100 major industrial and technology companies around the world, helping these companies deliver high-quality products without having to deal with productivity losses caused by system performance issues,” said Charlie Wiemann, Vice President of Operations for Precise. “The Russian market is filled with large-scale enterprises with complex manufacturing models, requiring deep expertise in performance management. Aviadvigatel is a perfect example of this, and we are pleased to welcome them to our top-tier of Russian customers. We look forward to supporting many of their new projects to come.”
