OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data, the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) international reserve totaled USD 2 707,9 million as of August 31, 2014, that is by USD 208,4 million more than the index of July 31, 2014.

The international reserve, converted in foreign currency, totaled USD 2 489,2 million, including that floated as securities – USD 1 561,9 million, as well as that on the accounts of foreign banks and International Monetary Fund (IMF) – USD 927,3 million. The amount of funds placed in SDR totaled USD 218,7 million, while reserve position with IMF totaled USD 15,2 thousand.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBG international reserve has dropped by USD 115,5 million.
