OREANDA-NEWS. September 26, 2014. The Committee on Entrepreneurship in Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) assembled at its fist foundation meeting. The committee was created to ensure a constructive and transparent dialogue between the Moldovan business environment, public authorities and international competent organisations.

In his speech, CCI head Valeriu Lazar emphasised that, among the basic objectives of the committee were to ensure efficient communication with the business associations, work out proposals to improve the legislation in force, to provide expertise services, etc.

„By creating the Committee on Entrepreneurship in Industry, we are not set to replace the present economic associations, but to provide advice to the industrial enterprises in their business activity, propagate Moldovan and European experience in the conditions of work of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, set long-lasting ties between the Moldovan and EU business environments,” Lazar said.

For his part, Deputy Economics Minister, the head of the working group for entrepreneurial activity regulation Tudor Copaci highlighted that this committee would ensure a discussion platform, meant to create a system to protect the Moldovan entrepreneurship and develop the export potential of industry.

„The project is planned to be implemented by late 2014, but I am confident that it will continue for at least another three years, with the support and financing of foreign donors,” Copaci said.

Director General of the Introscop Joint-venture Valeriu Bodiu was elected as head of the above-mentioned committee. The project is implemented by CCI, in partnership with the European Business Association, and financed by the Swedish government.
