OREANDA-NEWS. On October 02, 2014, Ilim's representatives will attend the offsite meeting of the Cross-Sector Council for Adoption of Best Available Technologies (BAT Council) of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to be held during the working visit of the council members to Bratsk. The meeting will focus on the matters relative to the practices for adopting best available technologies and implementation of the state-of-the-art technologies in pulp and paper industry.

Ilim's representatives will share their experience in putting in place best available technologies in the course of implementation of the USD 1.5 billion worth investment program which has become the largest program in pulp and paper industry in the last 30 years. In 2013, Ilim Group started up a new fiberline with a capacity of 720,000 tons of bleached softwood pulp as part of the Big Bratsk project. New papermaking facilities with an annual output of 220,000 tons of finished products were installed within the framework of the Big Koryazhma project.

As part of their visit, the BAT Council members today also took a tour around the Bratsk Mill site and new fiberline facilities built using the best available technologies.
