OREANDA-NEWS. Ural Steel has successfully passed the second audit of its quality management system for compliance with international industry requirements.

The experts of Bureau Veritas Certification Rus JSC and Pronap JSC conducted the audit and visited all major sections and departments of Ural Steel.

The experts focused on examining the documents regulating key production processes for compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and STO Gazprom 9001-2012 requirements, as well as studying the key elements of the product quality management system, including the purchase of raw materials and accessories, availability of qualified personnel, implementation of equipment maintenance works and repairs, and documents on planning and implementing tasks to eliminate consequences of accidents. As a result, the experts concluded that the performance of Ural Steel's quality management system has improved.

Announcing the results of the audit, Marina Khmel, head of the auditing team, noted: “Ural Steel employees have demonstrated readiness to provide information. Thanks to this, we were able to compile an objective summary detailing the compliance of the enterprise's quality management system with the standard requirements. It is clear that both auditing companies will reach positive conclusions in the audit reports. The auditors have once again received proof that Ural Steel pays due attention to adjusting the quality management system processes in line with ISO 9001:2008 and STO Gazprom 9001-2012. And the enterprise's specialists will apply these standards to a fuller extent and with greater confidence in order to sustain the company's competitiveness at a high level.”
