OREANDA-NEWS. The Industrial Policy Ministry failed in bid to lift injunctions on counterclaims filed by Ukraine's largest government−owned aircraft producer, Antonov, and its long−time chief executive, Dmytro Kiva. The order was issued on October 1 by the Circuit Administrative Court in Kyiv, said the spokesman of Antonov counsel, Ilyashev & Partners.

Shortly before, on 3 and 4 September, the Circuit Administrative Court granted two injunctions confirming the powers of Dmytro Kiva as Antonov chief executive and chief design officer. These orders are binding throughout Ukraine and continue to be effective.

Previously, it was reported that in May and in July 2014, Industrial Policy Ministry sanctioned the dismissal of Dmytro Kiva as the President of Antonov and appointed Sergiy Merenkov as a new interim President. However, the Ministry was de jure defunct as on 23 March 2014 it was liquidated by the Cabinet by merging it with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
