OREANDA-NEWS. A delegation from the company VSMPO-AVISMA has participated in the International Titanium Association conference in Chicago.

The conference brought together more than a thousand delegates from all over the world. Professionals discussed a range of issues related to titanium, ranging form the future of the titanium market, to methods of heat treatment of alloys, to new uses and production possibilities for titanium.

Oleg Leder, Deputy CEO for Marketing and Sales, headed the VSMPO-AVISMA delegation at the conference.

“While participating in conference events, we also held meetings with customers, who are expressing great interest in developing the titanium aspect of their projects,” said Oleg Leder.

The talks were used to discuss issues related not only to the contractual obligations for the supply of titanium products, but also regarding plans to expand the use of VSMPO-AVISMA products in various sectors of the world economy. Corporation managers that participated in the Chicago conference found the event very constructive and productive.

VSMPO-AVISMA is the largest supplier of titanium to the American company Boeing. Recently, representatives of the corporation confirmed that delivery of all products remains in full operation. Sanctions from Europe and the United States have not had a negative impact on projects between VSMPO-AVISMA and aircraft manufacturers, as they are protected by long-term contracts.

VSMPO-AVISMA, part of Rostec Corporation, is the world's largest manufacturer of titanium ingots and semi-finished products made from all kinds of titanium alloys, as well as large-size extruded aluminum products, semi-finished products made from steel alloys, and heat-resistant nickel-based alloys.
