OREANDA-NEWS. In August 2014, Latvian airline airBaltic carried 283,914 passengers throughout its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. During the first eight months of 2014, airBaltic has transported a total of 1,830,556 passengers.

In August the airline operated 4,145 flights, or 4% less than in the same period of 2013, when 4,328 flights have been operated by airBaltic. During the first eight months of 2014 the airline operated 29,393 flights.

The airline's load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion of the number of available seats, in August 2014 was at a level of 78%. During the first eight months of 2014, airBaltic load factor was at a level of 71%.

The 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 93,7% in August 2014. This means that more than 93 of every 100 airBaltic flights in August departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.
