OREANDA-NEWS. Gazprombank (Open Joint-Stock Company) and JCB International Co., Ltd. (Japan) have signed a JCB License Agreement for issuing and acquiring business. The Agreement was affixed with the signatures by Mr. Famil Sadygov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprombank, and Mr. Koremitsu Sannomiya, President of JCB International Co., Ltd.

According to the First Vice-President of the bank Mr. Valery Seregin: "The implementation of the project with JCB International will provide the Bank an opportunity to issue all types of JCB cards, and will enable our customers to make transactions on the territory of Russia and using one million ATMs and more than 26 million merchants in 190 countries worldwide, as well as to accept JCB cards in the merchants' network using the acquiring services of Gazprombank. Cooperation with JCB International is a significant step forward in the execution of the Bank's retail business strategy. This cooperation unveils new prospects, and we are confident of success".

The Bank plans to start issuing of JCB cards at the end of January 2015 and to implement merchant acquiring for JCB cards in the beginning of March 2015.
