OREANDA-NEWS. Power Machines OJSC has manufactured and successfully tested a power turbine with a capacity of 140 MW, designed for the new combined cycle power plant (CCPP) at Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP. The obtained results verify that the turbine complies with standards and specifications.

The contract to manufacture and supply power equipment for the 420 MW CCPP under construction at Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP was signed between Power Machines OJSC and Inter RAO - Electric Power Plants JSC in 2013. The signing of the contract had been preceded by a tender, which was won by Power Machines with the best technical and economic solution.

Pursuant to the contract, Power Machines shall manufacture and supply a steam turbine with a capacity of 140 MW complete with a generator, and a gas turbine with a capacity of 306 MW also complete with a generator. The steam equipment for the CCPP has been manufactured by Power Machines, the gas equipment by Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies LLC, jointly set up by Power Machines and Siemens AG to manufacture gas turbines and provide support services.

This July Power Machines shipped a gas turbine and generator to the customer. Now the company is getting prepared for the shipment of an air-cooled turbogenerator with a capacity of 160 MW, which has been manufactured ahead of schedule.

The equipment is scheduled to be completely supplied to the construction site of Verkhnetagilskaya SDPP until the end of the year. The construction project is managed by Inter RAO - Engineering LLC.
