OREANDA-NEWS. Banca Intesa, a Russian subsidiary bank of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group (Italy), has improved business process reliability through backup data center deployment in CROC's Kompressor Data Center.

"Backup data center deployment at a third-party site allows us to accelerate the expansion of computing resources," said Boris Golovatskikh, Director of IT Department, Banca Intesa.

"The backup data center was assembled manually in the Kompressor Data Center. We designed a reliable and tailored complex that meets the customer's fault-tolerance requirements, supplied and installed necessary systems, and aligned the backup data center with the bank's other data centers, including those located in Italy. All necessary computing and network infrastructure was created within eight months," said Pavel Kolmychek, Head of Data Centers, CROC.

During the project, CROC deployed a local area network, implemented a data storage network, and installed data backup and recovery systems using EMC data storage systems, НР tape libraries, and Cisco and Brocade switches.
