OREANDA-NEWS. FESCO Transportation Group continues to implement the container train service expansion policy, as well as the policy of increasing shipments from the Vladivostok Port.

The first train of the new FESCO Tashkent Shuttle service on the Vladivostok-Tashkent route was launched at the end of July 2014.

The public intermodal service route, which includes the FESCO Tashkent Shuttle service, starts at the ports of Southeast Asia via Vladivostok and runs to the station Chukursay, Tashkent. The final destination is the new container terminal ULS. Currently, the train service runs 2 times a month.

Each train has the capacity of 150 TEU. The majority of transported cargo includes consumer goods, chemical products, electronics, auto parts, building / construction materials and equipment.

The FESCO Tashkent Shuttle train service is public - the service is available to FESCO clients as well as to customers and freight forwarders of different shipping lines and cargo owners.

Total transit time from Vladivostok to Chukursay is 12 days; the return of empty containers after unloading in Tashkent also takes 12 days. The intermodal route also allows for the possibility of "last mile" service - cargo can be delivered to the client's door within a 500km radius of the train's final destination point.
