OREANDA-NEWS. In Smolny an agreement on cooperation, aimed at development of public procurement system in Saint-Petersburg, has been signed. The agreement was signed by: Georgy Poltavchenko, Saint-Petersburg Governor, Mikhail Kuzovlev, President and Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank of Moscow, Vladimir Strashko, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (CCI Russia), Vladimir Katenyov, President of Saint-Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Anton Emelyanov, General Director of Single Electronic Trading Platform (SETP).

The document stipulates that all stakeholders will further jointly promote the establishing of closer contacts with participants of public and municipal procurement and, first of all, with small and medium enterprises. The main form of interaction will be the Single Contracting System Support Centre (SCSSC), which will be created on the basis of local branches of the Bank of Moscow and SETP, and Saint-Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where based on the "one-stop-shop" principle the contractors and customers of bidding procedures can receive advice, complete set of financial and banking services, solve technical issues of entering the electronic trading system, etc.

It is worth noting that in 2013 the Contract System Member Service Centre had already been established in the city and is functioning successfully under Saint-Petersburg branch of the Bank of Moscow, which works with big business contractors of state order, federal targeted and investment programmes, as well as their counterparts in Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region.

"This agreement represents another stage in development of relations of the Bank of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg - said Michail Kuzovlev, President and Chairman of the Management Board of the Bank of Moscow, during the ceremony. - Creation of such centre, the work of which will be monitored from five sides at once, will give a qualitative impetus to the work of public procurement system in the city".

In the current year as a result of the signing the similar agreements with local administrations the Single Contracting System Support Centres were successfully launched in Perm and Krasnodar.
