OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2014. Moscow Arbitration Court confirmed legitimacy of a warning to “Russian Railways” OJSC to terminate the actions that have elements of violating the antimonopoly law, thus supporting the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia).

Earlier, “Interregional Commuter Passenger Company” Ltd. complained to FAS that “Russian Railways” OJSC had avoided concluding a contract for leasing rolling stock.

On 10th July 2014, FAS warned “Russian Railways” OJSC to stop unreasonably avoiding a contract for leasing rolling stock for commuter transportation in the Belgorod region and conclude the contract under the law of the Russian Federation.

The company failed to execute the warning. As a result, FAS opened an antimonopoly case upon elements of violating Clause 5 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.
