OREANDA-NEWS. NEC Corporation announced the launch of a new cloud service for NEC Global Enterprise Solutions aimed at car manufacturers and dealerships expanding throughout emerging markets.

New car sales are currently expanding and in recent years sales have shifted significantly towards emerging markets, including Southeast Asia and elsewhere. For this reason, car manufacturers have an increasing need to introduce management systems for dealerships quickly and at low cost to ensure the quality of service during sales and maintenance while accelerating the development of sales networks.

"This innovative new service utilizes the cloud to offer a wide variety of functions in support of car dealership services, including the management of quotations, sales, inventory and order placement for new cars and parts, as well as the management of repair bookings, working-hours and history. Rather than a customer building their own system, NEC's solution can be introduced in about one-third of the time and for approximately one-half of the cost," explained Mitsuhiko Nozue, general manager, 2nd Manufacturing and Automotive Industries Solutions Division of NEC.

Moreover, the service is able to collect and analyze dealership management data and provide it in a report format for the companies that oversee dealerships. This enables timely and detailed marketing and helps expand sales. In addition, training and help desk services are provided to each dealership, enabling the smooth introduction and establishment of the service.

NEC is progressively upgrading and expanding NEC Global Enterprise Solutions, its lineup of solutions and services offered globally to enterprise customers in retail, distribution manufacturing and other fields. This service represents a part of the initiative, and moving forward NEC will continue to provide solutions and services that contribute to the growth of its customers' businesses.
