OREANDA-NEWS. Izhora Pipe Mill, a fully owned subsidiary of OAO Severstal's Russian Steel division, today announces that it has won a tender to supply Gazprom with around 85 thousand tonnes of externally and internally coated 1420mm diameter K60-grade steel pipes, designed to withstand pressures of up to 9.8 Megapascals. The pipes will be used in the construction of the lengthy Southern Gas Corridor pipeline system. Since the beginning of the year, Izhora Pipe Mill has already supplied more than 60 thousand tonnes of pipes for this project.

Vitaly Motorin, director of pipe production at Severstal's Russian Steel division, said: “Severstal and Izhora Pipe Mill have been reliable suppliers of pipes for Gazprom's major projects over many years. We have the market-leading technological and production capabilities to meet all current and future client orders”.
