According to the agency "Auto-Dealer-SPb", for 11 months of 2014 the St. Petersburg automakers Toyota, GM, Nissan and Hyundai produced 329,800 new passenger cars, which is less by 8% than the last year. November continued the trend of the last six months - there is almost not produced more than 30 thousand cars a month in the city, although earlier it was in order of things. In November the figure was 28,800 cars - it is less by 20% than last month of autumn of 2013.

"The second consecutive month the decline in production was 20% and more", - says the CEO of "Auto-Dealer-SPb", Michael Chaplygin. - There are still fully loaded capacities only at one plant - Hyundai, at the rest of companies, this figure varies from 50% to 75%".

Last month, it was started the production of the updated model Camry at Toyota plant. For the first time after a long period in November none car plants stopped in the city (the last time it was in April). General Motors, which recently took over the tradition of taking a pause in production, is now working in one shift, which allows the company to produce cars on a daily basis. In addition, here since the autumn it was established SKD-assembly of three models of Cadillac.

"Indicators of November may indicate that manufacturers are not working now for the warehouse, as it is traditionally at the end of the year. For example, in November-December of 2013 it was produced more than 70 thousand cars in St. Petersburg. Today, this production volume will not be exactly, "- says Michael Chaplygin.

The share of the St. Petersburg car industry with respect to the all-Russian production of cars for the first 11 months is 21.3%. Four car plants of St. Petersburg produced 13 car models: Chevrolet Cruze, Opel Astra, Chevrolet Trailblazer, Cadillac ATS, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac SRX, Nissan Teana, Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Murano, Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Camry, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio. Five of them - Solaris, Rio, Camry, Cruze and the X-Trail -entered the Top-25 of best-buy car models in Russia for the first 11 months of 2014.
