OREANDA-NEWS. The government of Anhui province was hailed as the second most administratively transparent provincial-level government in China, according to a document by a government think tank.

The blue paper, by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), was released earlier this year covering 55 departments under the State Council, China's cabinet, 31 provincial governments and 49 big city authorities.

According to the paper, the provincial government of Anhui was ranked second in the country, and first among Central China's six provincial governments.

As of November 30, it publicized roughly 1.8 million items of information, opened 32 social network (Weibo & Wechat) accounts, and launched 248 activities like press conferences and policy interpretation, the provincial government said on its website.
