OREANDA-NEWS. The OMK-Uchastie Charity Fund has organized its traditional "A Fir Tree For Everyone" event which is timed with the New Year's celebrations at all factories belonging to United Metallurgical Company (OMK Joint Stock Company, based in Moscow).

OMK-Uchastie, OMK staff, and volunteers give away presents to the Fund's foster children and to children from orphanages and rehabilitation centers, set up and decorated New Year's fir trees for them, held creative master classes, exhibitions, shows and games, and lit up fireworks.

Staff from Vyksa Steel Works and the Casting and Rolling Complex (both based in the Nizhny Novgorod region), the Trubodetal factory (based in Chelyabinsk), the Almetyevsk Pipe Plant (based in the Republic of Tatarstan), and the Moscow management office have already taken part in the event. Charity events will be held at Chusovoy Metallurgical Works (based in the Perm Krai) and Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant (based in the Republic of Bashkortostan) at the end of December.

Over a hundred OMK employees are taking part in the "A Fir Tree for Everyone" event, which will bring a celebration to several hundred children.

"We are organizing some unforgettable New Year's celebrations that will involve tea parties, fir trees, gifts, and an overall great atmosphere for children who are ill, disabled, or who have found themselves in difficult life situations. It is very important that in this magical time of year that the project give hope and positive emotions not only to the children who are the heart of this event, but also to the organizers, the company staff, and volunteers," said Irina Sedykh, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the OMK-Uchastie Charity Fund.

The annual "A Fir Tree for Everyone" event, which is organized by the OMK-Uchastie Charity Fund, was first held in Moscow in 2012 in the children's section of the oncology and hematology department of the Blokhin Russian Research Center for Oncology.
