OREANDA-NEWS. "We pursue the way of social spending optimization. Social assistance should be obtained by a person who needs it. They are the poor, the disabled, orphaned children, pensioners - all those who need help from the state. And those who illegally received or knowingly acquired, those who are pulling money out of the pockets of a poor person, will not receive the support of the state and the Government”, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk during a final press conference on December 30, 2014.

In particular, he noted the Government had preserved a scholarship for students, hadn’t raised the retirement age, left nutrition for children in 1-4 grades: "We have remained all applicable provisions of the Ukraine’s law on education, including extracurricular work, and overtime work for our teachers, which is payable in accordance with the law".

There were also envisaged all the norms of social standards, "which are necessary to ensure that low income people could feel in these difficult conditions, at least the way they felt in the current year".

Moreover, till 1 June social benefits have been preserved on travel for the Chornobyl victims, the Afghan war participants, the disabled, orphans, children deprived of parental care and ATO participants, basing on the current tax legislation.

Thus, Arseniy Yatsenyuk stressed the need to transfer to monetization and targeted character of all social benefits and subsidies.
