OREANDA-NEWS. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired the summing-up meeting of the Republican headquarters staff for implementation of the TANECO Complex construction project.

The event was attended by Nail Maganov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT, Leonid Alekhin, General Director of JSC TANECO, Elvira Doltkazina, Deputy Head of Nizhnekamsk Municipal District and other officials.

At the beginning of his working trip Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress at the construction of the delayed coking unit (DCU) of the TANECO Complex. To date, the Company has completed installation of all the large-scale and large-dimensional equipment there and is actively engaged in performance of civil works. The DCU commercial operation start scheduled for 2015 will increase the yield of light oil products to 77 percent. The unit will allow obtaining coke and additional distillates from oil residues for production of motor fuels.

The meeting participants visited OOO "Nizhnekamsk CHP". The first stage of modernization is being completed here today increasing the station's electric power generation capacity from 380 to 730 megawatts. The plans for the second stage provide for the CHP partial switchover to a new type of fuel: petroleum coke, which will be produced by TANECO. To this end, the work will start on reconstruction of the existing TGME-464 boilers at the plant in the near future. Usage of coke as a fuel for the Nizhnekamsk CHP will allow JSC TATNEFT implementing the task of "closed-loop": to generate electricity and thermal energy for the needs of crude oil production and refining on the basis of its own raw materials.
