OREANDA-NEWS. The park of snow removal equipment of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is renewed with five airfield plow-brush-blowing vehicles Vammas Compact SB 3600 on a Mercedes-Benz chassis which were put into operation in December, 2014.

The small size and increased maneuverability of new Vammas Compact SB 3600 vehicles provides fast and high-quality snow removal of runways, apron and aircraft parking stands. Airport staff is currently being trained to work on such vehicles.

Vammas vehicles are reliable and easy to operate and meet the highest standards of the quality in performed work. The new special equipment will replace vehicles previously used at the airport.

Thus, the park of airport snow removal equipment includes nine Vammas machines: five new Compact SB 3600 and four SB 4500 on Volvo chassis.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity - up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2013 the passenger traffic exceeded 3.7 mln passengers and cargo traffic totalled 29.9 thousand tons of cargo and mail handled.
