OREANDA-NEWS. Company "Avtotor Holding" and the government of the Kaliningrad region on Jan. 22 approved the "roadmap" to create in the region automotive cluster, which includes five car plants of full-cycle and enterprises for the production of automotive components. According to the president of "Avtotor Holding", Valery Draganov, the final parameters of the project will be developed in the near future after talks with foreign partners.

"The regional government and the administration of Kaliningrad had a very thorough job on the plan of the project realization, coordinating the positions of all stakeholders. Adoption of the "road map" - is a very timely positive signal to investors, as the company is in talks with partners now, discussing the conditions for further cooperation. I hope we will be able to implement all of the planned volume of investments in the construction of the cluster", - said Valery Draganov.

To date, "Avtotor" produces more than 30 models under the brands BMW, Kia, Opel, Chevrolet, Hyundai, TATA Daewoo, and Ford. In 2013, the company launched a project to create a full-profile cluster of automobile industries in the Kaliningrad region, providing the creation of a full cycle of production capacity of 250 thousand cars per year and enterprises for the production of automotive components.
