OREANDA-NEWS. Team of the Leningrad NPP will increase power generation by 13.63% to 26.6 billion kWh (planned by the FTS) and by 8.5% to 27.36 billion kWh (Corporate target key indicator) in 2015.

It is planned to improve the organization and reduce the time of repair work due to the further implementation of the enterprise production system of the Rosatom. For example, planned overhaul of the power unit № 1 with the implementation of the next phase of recovery resource characteristics (SEC) for a period of 120 days and repair of the power unit №2 for 60 days, as well as two scheduled preventive maintenance (PPR), are planned in 2015.

Recall, that the staff of the Leningrad NPP performed routine maintenance campaign in the following terms in 2014: average repair of the power unit №1, overhaul maintenance of the power unit №2, PPR at the blocks №3 and №4.

In addition, the staff of the Leningrad nuclear power plant must get prepared for export to FYAO GKhK of the five trains with PNF (processed nuclear fuel, in 2014 - 2280 prepared) and complete the implementation of the investment project of the first start-up complex on processing and storage of radioactive waste .

"Last year the Leningrad nuclear power plant was able to achieve the main goal, to establish a planned and measured work of the entire team, that helped to implement successfully the program SEC at the second power unit, to perform state task on electric power generation ahead and improve results on many other parameters of the company. I hope, that the Leningrad nuclear scientists will be able to honorably perform the task of increased power generation in the new year at the expense of planning and implementation of additional PAR, as well as to realize the full list of the major challenges facing our team, "- said the Director of the Leningrad NPP Vladimir Pereguda at the daily briefing.

The Leningrad nuclear power plant is the JSC "Rosenergoatom Concern" branch. The station is located in the city Sosnovy Bor in 80 km to the west of St. Petersburg on the bank of the Finland Gulf. The Leningrad NPP is the country's first station with RBMK-1000 reactors (uranium - graphite nuclear reactors of channel type on thermal neutrons). 4 power units with electric capacity of 1000 MWt each operate at the nuclear power plant.
