OREANDA-NEWS. Trubodetal factory (Trubodetal Open Joint Stock Company, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK Joint Stock Company, Moscow) held over 20 charitable and social events in the Novosineglazovsky settlement and Chelyabinsk last year. They mainly targeted the development of sports, culture, and landscaping; they also provided assistance to socially vulnerable citizens.

In 2014, the factory organized: pre-Lent and OMK-Sprint skiing festivals, held celebrations to mark Victory Day, and held both International Children's Day and International Day for the Elderly. "Simple Ideas Change Lives," an annual competition held by the factory, yielded improvements for the settlement's infrastructure and paved the way for opening a new branch of the Burevestnik kickboxing sports school. The factory also built a playground in one of the yards in time for Metallurgists Day. With the factory's support, factory staff volunteers and task force members made several trips to clean the territory in the settlement.

"Trubodetal teamed up with the OMK-Uchastie Charity Fund on several occasions. They supported the Vozrozhdeniye orphanage and the Chelyabinsk Regional Children's Hospital. Several families with ill children also received assistance.

"The factory annually contributes significant amounts to support local schools, kindergartens, the affiliate of the motor transport vocational school and other institutions. There is a strong volunteer corps at the factory made up of members of the Council of Young Metallurgists. We also offer individual help and assistance in solving social issues," said Nikolay Yakovlev, Trubodetal's HR, PR, and General Issues Director.
