OREANDA-NEWS. CROC now transfers project-related collaboration with customers into a unified information environment in its enterprise social network. The CROClive versatile Jive-based social network is focused on business purposes and enables information storage and sharing as well as operational discussions in private groups using secure remote access. CROClive therefore makes it possible to have both internal and external project-related communications, thus completely replacing third-party file-sharing and co-working services.

Today, CROC's employees and customers are already working on projects via CROClive. Project-related groups on CROClive are formed by project managers and other responsible persons at CROC. In addition, project teams may enter their own private section on CROClive in order to post, store and co-work on project-related files anywhere via the Internet.

CROC uses the core system functions even more intensively for internal corporate purposes, with over 90% of personnel currently using CROClive every day. In addition to business-related functions, CROClive is also a networking and crowdsourcing platform, thus becoming an efficient team building tool. CROC is also pursuing further system development plans.

Jive launch at CROC is one of the first Jive implementations in Russia. Before CROClive, employees used to communicate and collaborate with each other via many diverse tools, with information being dispersed among the enterprise portal, local folders, separate wiki-database, e-document management system, HRMS employee skill and profile base, and dedicated services for separate user groups. Such system diversity resulted in high support and integration costs but did not guarantee quick information retrieval. In 2012, CROC started searching for a principally new approach to corporate information and communication management and, after many tests and trials, decided to use Web 2.0 in an enterprise sector. As a result, Jive, a corporate social network by Jive Software, was selected as a unified platform for enterprise networking. In addition to the functions of previous systems, Jive-based CROClive also provides the wide new functionality necessary for a company operating in a rapidly changing IT area.

Jive Software, Inc. is the leading provider of modern communication and collaboration solutions for business. The Jive platform leverages state-of-the-art web technology, applies a user-friendly social media format (with comments, "likes", photos, and intuitive interface), and combines preconfigured business processes (that can be further adjusted and customized to fit specific needs), a repository for all kinds of information, and gamification elements. Jive is used for all key team working scenarios: project and presale activities, document sharing and collaboration, as well as internal promotion, and also acts as an information resource, crowdsourcing and feedback tool, and a unified forum.

In 2014, CROC proudly presented its project expertise and CROClive at the 5th International Business Congress Knowledge Management Russia (KM Russia 2014), and the 2nd scientific conference "Management Sciences in Today's World" held by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. Also, the CROClive launch project was awarded at the INTERCOMM 2014 ceremony.

Today, CROC has rich experience in and a proven methodology for building, implementing, and using enterprise social networks, even for organizations with thousands of employees.

"CROClive is a unified in-house platform for over 2,000 CROC employees and external project participants who can now connect to their workspaces without violating company information security regulations. CROClive is accessible at any time, from any place in the world and from virtually any device. For example, project participants can simultaneously work on a document from different towns. In addition, Jive functionality helps develop a knowledge base and accumulate project experience and also allows for flexible communications, employee involvement, and collaboration while providing a single point of access to information," said Maxim Andreev, Deputy Director of IT Department and Business Applications Director, CROC.

"In keeping with a common CROC saying, "Add drive to your work," we have recently added some Jive to our operations. Today, we aspire to have exciting working lives and the implementation of Jive will help us to realize this goal. In addition to solving business tasks, this efficient tool also acts as a knowledge and skill base and contributes to comprehensive team development, while likes, comments, and ideas make it a vivid and popular solution. There is still a lot to do (I hope we'll be able to announce business process gamification soon) but I'm already sure that Jive is the right choice," said Polina Khabarova, Deputy Director General for Human Resources, CROC.

"Jive provides a range of qualitative benefits. For example, information exchange and, hence, efficiency has been improved by many times while the greater convenience of document collaboration accelerates the time taken to formulate marketing leaflets or letters for customers or presentation of complex solutions. Remote access via browser is somewhere more convenient than via e-mail: all information and project experience are found within Jive, in a specific working environment. In addition, the fact that there is no need to spend much time searching for or trying to remember a sender, recipient, subject or date accelerates both searches of existing information about CROC's capabilities and preparation of new materials. These benefits are of paramount importance for our company, which is famous for its marketing materials, very informative website, and large document library," explained Veronika Taraba, Deputy Director General for Marketing, CROC.
