OREANDA-NEWS. Styrolution's Bayport plant in Pasadena, Texas restarted a styrene and ethybenzene unit yesterday after they briefly shut following a loss of boiler feed water flow, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The incident, which began Tuesday and continued until Wednesday morning, resulted in emissions of benzene, butane, ethylene, propylene, propane and other materials.

Styrolution's Pasadena plant can produce 779,000 t/yr of styrene and 870,000 t/yr of ethylbenzene.
