OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ in 2015 expects the fall of the Russian car market by more than 30% to 1.5 million vehicles, said the company president, Bo Andersson.

"Last year, it was sold 2.2 million cars in Russia. In 2015, the pessimists say about 1 million, optimists - about 1.7 million. I am an optimist, my prediction is sales at the level of 1.5 million cars - said the head of AvtoVAZ. - With regard to the volume of production in the company, we have to repeat the level of 2014. With all the uncertainty of the situation on the market, we will continue to develop, by acting on a specially designed anti-crisis plan. He assumes the implementation of 150 initiatives, affecting all functional areas of the company”.

According to Bo Andersson, in 2015 AvtoVAZ will produce from 300 to 400 thousand cars Lada, by adjusting the volume of production, depending on the level of sales. "The production plan for this year will depend on the total sales in the Russian market. For Lada brand we will produce from 300 to 400 thousand cars depending on the behavior of the market and how much we sell for export", - the agency "Tass” cited the words of Bo Andersson. President of the company stressed that AvtoVAZ will be ready to produce any necessary number of cars for Renault-Nissan alliance, depending on the order volume.

"We are very optimistic about the exports this year. If the last year we delivered for export 51,000 Lada cars, then today we have orders for 70,000 cars”, - said Bo Andersson. Totally for export in 2015 AvtoVAZ plans to send about 100 thousand cars.

Despite the difficult economic situation, the company intends to keep its funding of three major investment projects in 2015. In April, the plant will launch the production of a new engine for the alliance Renault-Nissan, in September we will begin the production of Lada Vesta in Izhevsk, at the end of the year - the production of Lada XRay in Togliatti.

In 2014, AvtoVAZ produced 575.1 thousand vehicles and assembly kits, including 386.8 thousand of Lada cars and 133.9 thousand cars for the alliance Renault-Nissan.
