OREANDA-NEWS. 27% of the Russian car owners who want to buy a new car in 2015, decided to postpone the purchase, 14% - are now considering the option of buying a car with mileage. These and other results of research, conducted at the end of February 2015 by the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in conjunction with AVITO.ru, show that the wishes of motorists were influenced largely by events of the last two or three months in the country.

Director of analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" Sergey Tselikov, in the report on the opened yesterday in Moscow "Russian Automotive Forum" (RAF), announced some of the results of the study (which was attended by more than 10,000 respondents).

The reasons that influenced the rejection of the purchase were announced by 39% of respondents as rising prices for cars (consumers believe that they are now too high), 36% nod the unstable economic situation in the country (the crisis). High interest rates discouraged other 11% of respondents. 10% of respondents in the last two or three months had financial difficulties, other 4% - lost their jobs. One question was about the whole current financial situation of the respondents: 49% indicated that during the period from November 2014 to February 2015, it has worsened.

On the basis of a number of other studies the experts of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" concluded: the position of Russian car owners for a purchase of a new car is changing. People are beginning to approach more rational to this, and to assess their financial situation. Market saturation plays its role. 27% of respondents are willing to postpone or even refuse to buy a car with a deterioration of the economic situation in the country.
