OREANDA-NEWS. A key issue to be enshrined in the new Constitution is the balance and responsibility of all power branches: "Balance implies not only rights but also the answerability of three government branches and a key institution - the President of Ukraine", stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Monday, April 6, at a meeting of the Constitutional Commission.

Among the main principles of the new Constitution the Prime Minister also singled out an independent judiciary system: "This is the basis for a legal state".

According to him, the Constitution should also envisage decentralization – “granting additional rights, powers and responsibilities to local communities".

He called Poland exemplary for the reforms: "It has become one of the core countries of the European Union, not only due to the economic reforms, similar to those carried out today in Ukraine, but also due to a broad political reform called to amend the Constitution, the state government and state administration system".
