OREANDA-NEWS. Next Wave Energy Partners has received up to \$500mn in initial equity investment from Energy Capital Partners to fund greenfield developments and potential acquisitions on 14 April.

Next Wave plans to capitalize on the changing market dynamics between NGLs, petrochemicals and fuels, but has yet announced any concrete operational developments. Next Wave's management has prior experience working at Plains All American Pipeline, TPC Group, and Enterprise Products Partners.

On 9 April, another private equity firm, EnCap Flatrock Midstream, made a \$400mn initial equity commitment to Nuevo Midstream Dos to pursue organic growth and US acquisitions.

Nuevo Midstream Dos' expertise lies in natural gas gathering and processing, and the storage and takeaway of NGLs, crude and condensate.

Nuevo Midstream Dos is the successor company to Nuevo Midstream, which had developed a midstream footprint in the Delaware Basin before being acquired by Western Gas Partners in October 2014 for \$1.5bn.

The company has not announced any acquisitions or projects to date.

Energy Capital Partners is an energy-focused private equity firm with over \$13bn in capital commitments in the US.

EnCap Flatrock is a private equity firm with more than \$5bn in total assets in the North American oil and gas industry.
