OREANDA-NEWS. The meeting of the Bank of Russia Expert Board on Financial Literacy in the Activities of Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NFIs) came up with the first results and discussed further implementation of the Bank of Russia Strategic Programme on Financial Literacy.

Participants of the meeting recognised it appropriate to establish a task force to continue elaborating the content of single subject-related standards including the list of minimum financial knowledge required by each citizen.

Besides, members of the Expert Board discussed the prospects of all-Russian campaign 'Donate a Book' providing for replenishment of educational institutions' holdings of financial literacy teaching aids.

The goal of the Expert Board is to work out proposals on the set of measures aimed at attracting attention to the issue of financial literacy in the activities of non-bank financial institutions. The Board includes representatives of public organisations, voluntary service unions, educational institutions, independent experts, and financial market participants.
