OREANDA-NEWS. The 6th International Exhibition and Forum for Nuclear Power Engineering and Industry, KazАtomЕxpo-2015, took place in Astana (Kazakhstan) from April 7 to 9. 65 leading enterprises from Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, Italy, UAE and the Czech Republic participated in it.  Rosatom's integrated exposition arranged by Atomexpo LLC has been awarded with a certificate ‘For the best technical solution of a stand’. The exposition presented such enterprises of the Russian power engineering and industry complex as:  JSC Atomenergoprom, Incorporated Company JSC ASE - JSC NIAEP – JSC AEP, concern Rosenergoatom, JSC Atomproekt, public company Mashinostroitelny Zavod (JSC TVEL), International Uranium Enrichment Center, N. L. Dukhov VNIIA.

The visitors of Rosatom's stand – representatives of Kazakh government institutions and nuclear power engineering enterprises – were able to have a look at state-of-the-art Russian technologies and leading positions of Rosatom in the international market, at the projects of State Corporation enterprises in Russia and abroad, its experience in the activities related to the nuclear fuel cycle and uranium enrichment. Incorporated Company JSC ASE - JSC NIAEP – JSC AEP presented its projects of NPP and infrastructure facility design and construction, as well as information on life cycle management technologies for Multi-D complex engineering facilities.

There was also a comprehensive coverage of civil products, including inspection systems for power engineering and industrial facilities, etc. JSC Atomproekt presented its interactive 3D model of NPP-2006 project based on WWER 1200 reactor.  This nuclear power plant project is being implemented in Russia at Leningrad NPP-2 (units 1-4), Belorussian NPP (power units 1-2), Hanhikivi-1 NPP in Finland, in Hungary at Paks-2 NPP (units 5 and 6, modification NPP-2006 E). There was also a presentation of a mobile application Pure Energy of an NPP developed by JSC Atomproekt which enables smart phone users to evaluate safety of a modern NPP by ‘testing’ it in a virtual mode.

Besides, a lot of exhibition visitors liked ‘augmented reality’ mobile applications providing a virtual tour over an NPP model based on WWER-1200 reactor and a model of a floating NPP project. These applications are available for iOS and Android mobile devices and enable users to study animated 3D-models and get acquainted with their operating principles.

At a separate stand, the visitors were able to learn Rosatom's experience in public relations through a network of nuclear energy information centers one of which will be opened in Astana this year.

KazAtomExpo-2015 exhibition and forum is a professional event intended for specialists from nuclear and nuclear-related industries.  The event was supported by the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Kazakhstan Republic, JSC NAK Kazatomprom, RGP National Nuclear Center of the Kazakhstan Republic and JSC Nuclear Technology Park.  Nuclear industry experts, representatives of governmental institutions and commercial enterprises of Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries participated in the business program of the exhibition.
