OREANDA-NEWS. Huawei today announced that its Cloud IP Multimedia System (IMS) has won the Best Cloud/Virtualised IMS Solution award at the 2015 IMS World Forum hosted by Informa in Amsterdam. Huawei Cloud IMS was recognized for its technical innovation, industrial contributions and commercial capabilities.

Huawei Cloud IMS is based on NFV technology and supports open architecture and multi-vendor environments including hardware and Cloud operating systems. The solution comprises innovative cloud-aware architecture to support the decoupling of service logic and session data, ensuring a quick smooth scale in/out without any service loss. To date, Huawei Cloud IMS has been successfully deployed by more than 20 commercial partners and POCs including the world’s first cloud based commercial VoLTE network in Europe, and Network Functions Virtualization VoLTE in Qatar, Kuwait, and Russia.

Mr. Shengjun Xu, Vice President of Huawei Core Network Business Unit, receives the prestigious trophy from Guy Redmill, Managing Director at Informa.

The annual IMS World Forum is organized by Informa Telecoms, the world's largest telecom research firm. Attended by experts from carriers, operators and vendors, the two-day event hosts various themed workshops and training sessions. The IMS World Forum awards ceremony celebrates the IMS/Telco industry achievements during the previous year.
