OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank and the Federal Customs Service signed a cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum. The document was signed by Herman Gref, CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank, and Andrey Beliyaninov, Head of the Federal Customs Service.

The agreement defines a range of activities of both sides for the development of modern information and communication technologies in customs and banking areas.

Among the areas of cooperation are the improvement of money transfer procedures control over cash inflow and accounting for customs payments made by Sberbank's clients; the organisation of electronic document exchanges and information in digital format for customs purposes.

"The cooperation between FCS and Sberbank within the signed agreement will provide a full cycle of service for foreign trade participants, including the payment of customs duties, providing customers with the possibility of interacting with the customs authorities online, through the use of a variety of devices such as mobile, as well as through ATMs" - said Herman Gref.

"The signed agreement demonstrates our willingness to expand cooperation with the Russian banking sector. We hope that as a result of this the process of customs payments for our citizens will be simplified ", noted Andrey Beliyaninov.
