OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank of Russia and Agrokor Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum.  The Memorandum was signed by Sergey Gorkov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board on behalf of Sberbank of Russia and Ivica Todoric, Chairman of the Board of the "Agrokor" Group.

The Memorandum is the result of a successful collaboration between the companies during the past years and is aimed at developing further cooperation between the Bank and the Agrokor Group. The goals of this cooperation, amongst other things, is to develop the relationship between the Parties, engage in common activities and facilitating and promoting co-operation on common projects in retail.

Agrokor Group is the largest privately owned Croatian company and one of the leading food and retail companies in southeast Europe according to total revenues. The Agrokor-Sberbank cooperation was started 2 years ago. Last year Sberbank of Russia and Agrokor Group announced a syndicated loan facility of EUR 600 mln. This Memorandum of Understanding signed in St. Petersburg also marks the successful continuation of the long-term strategic partnership between Sberbank and Agrokor to enhance services in the CEE retail sector.
