OREANDA-NEWS. 45 interns will begin working as part of the Head Start@Sberbank CIB summer internship programme. Graduates and final year students from leading universities who know English and passed all the selection stages will join Sberbank CIB's business and support units. The internship will last for two months and will end on August 31. As the company has held summer internships since 2001, this will be the 15th edition.

Sberbank CIB traditionally invests in training beginner specialists, shares market experience with them and helps capable students launch their careers in the world of finance. This is an important tradition for the company as an employer and helps attract talented and motivated young specialists. The programme produces results: more than 20% of those who were interns in the past three years currently work at the company.

The internship programme is very popular among students and graduates, with the company receiving over 1,000 applications to participate in it every year.

During the selection stage candidates take a number of tests, including an English proficiency test, and take part in a business game. Students who pass these tests are then enrolled in the Summer Class - lectures and master classes held by Sberbank CIB specialists and invited experts. These selection and training stages let candidates test their knowledge, receive initial experience and make sure that the corporate and investment banking business is the industry where they want to develop and build a career.
