OREANDA-NEWS. Backed by a strong month of CUV and mid-size sedan sales, Hyundai Motor America reported its best July ever with 71,013 units sold, up 6 percent compared to July 2014.

“With the increased availability of Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport we experienced the strongest sales month ever with those models up a whopping 35 percent combined,” said Bob Pradzinski, vice president, national sales, Hyundai Motor America. “The Tucson, our compact CUV, saw sales gains of 4 percent and with the all-new Tucson just arriving at dealerships we anticipate further growth in the months ahead.”

The mid-size Sonata sedan saw sales of 22,080, a gain of 12 percent, representing the best July sales ever for the vehicle. Hyundai’s sub-compact Accent achieved a gain of 14 percent, and Elantra family, although flat versus last year, sold 22,135 units.
