OREANDA-NEWS. Chaired by Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, a meeting of the Supervisory Board and a General Shareholders Meeting of EuRoPol Gaz took place in Warsaw.

The Supervisory Board approved the financial statement of the Russian-Polish company and made a number of decisions regarding its operating activities.

The General Shareholders Meeting elected a new Managing Board of EuRoPol Gaz.

A focus was also placed on joint actions aimed at the future development of the company.

EuRoPol GAZ was incorporated in 1993 within the frames of the Inter-Governmental Agreement between Poland and Russia on the Construction of a Gas Pipeline System for Transiting Russian Gas via Poland and Delivering Russian Gas to Poland dated August 25, 1993. The main shareholders of EuRoPol GAZ are Gazprom and PGNiG (Polish State Oil and Gas Company). Its major business lines are design, construction and operation of its wholly-owned 684-kilometer Polish section of the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline.
