"UzAvto" introduced a new brand Ravon in Russia
Initially, the new brand will be represented by two models - Matiz and Gentra, which will now be sold under the brand name Ravon, respectively. And the next year the model range of brand will join the car of A-class Ravon R2 (analogue Chevrolet Spark of the previous generation), sedans Nexia R3 (an analogue of the previous generation of Chevrolet Aveo) and R4 (an analogue of Chevrolet Cobalt). In the long-term plans for the development of the brand there are premieres of several new cars of C-class and compact SUV.
Like its predecessor, Ravon is aimed to become a leader in the mass segment of available cars within three years - the company intends to take at least 5% of the market by 2020. According to Deputy Chairman of the Board "Uzavtosanoat", Takhirjon Jalilov, Ravon will provide Russian customers with a broader range of vehicles, by combining the best of the Daewoo brand and the vast experience, acquired by the company for 20 years in the Russian market. Sales and distribution of cars will pass through the existing dealer network with the addition of the new ones with the expansion of the portfolio of Ravon.
Recall that under the brand Uz-Daewoo in Russia it was sold about a million cars of models Nexia, Matiz and Gentra. Compact Matiz during many years and until now holds confidently the palm: since the start of sales of Matiz in our country more than 300 thousand cars Matiz found buyers and its share in the segment of cars of A-class from year to year is about 60%. The latest product Gentra was launched two years ago and it is currently in the Top 25 of best-selling cars in Russia, by becoming one of the most popular models in the C-class.
