Memorandum of Understanding between DIA and SEDESA
OREANDA-NEWS. The Seguro de Depositos S.A. (Argentine Republic) and the State Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency (Russian Federation) signed the Memorandum of Understanding in Moscow.
The State Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency (hereinafter "DIA", "the Agency") was represented at the signing ceremony by DIA General Director Mr. Yury Isaev, and the Seguro de Depositos S.A. (hereinafter "SEDESA") was represented by SEDESA Chief Executive Officer Mr. Alejandro Lopez.
"The Memorandum of Understanding will serve as the basis for establishing close and mutually beneficial relations between DIA and SEDESA, our collaboration and mutual consultations on various aspects of deposit insurance and bank resolution. It shall ensure comprehensive cooperation between our organizations, including exchange of opinions and best practices, development of common positions on most challenging issues," said Mr. Yury Isaev.
"Extension of cooperation between SEDESA and DIA Russia on the basis of the MOU that we have just signed is of great importance for us, and we strongly believe that our mutual consultations will promote further enhancements in our national deposit insurance systems," said Mr. Alejandro Lopez.
During the meeting the parties discussed a number of practical issues related to the deposit insurance systems' operation and implementation of relevant best practices and international standards.
