OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2015. AS Merko Ehitus has launched the second phase of the Tartu mnt 52 development project in Tallinn city centre. The underground parking garage, connecting the whole development area and the first three buildings of the first phase are currently in active construction. The second phase includes two apartment buildings on the side of Lastekodu street and the complex will be completed as whole.

Within the first phase, three apartment buildings will be completed in the second half of 2016: an 8-storey building A along Tartu mnt, and a 13-storey building B and 5-storey building C along the internal street. Half of the hundred apartments are sold by today. Within the second phase of the residential quarter 80 apartments in 2 buildings: 5-storey building on Lastekodu Street and 7-storey building D along the internal street will be completed in the second half of 2017.

The Tartu mnt 52 development project (http://merko.ee/tartumnt52/) comprises of five apartment buildings at Tartu mnt 52 and Lastekodu 23, with business premises on the ground floor. The energy efficiency of the apartments is guaranteed by water underfloor heating and heat recovery ventilation; the balconies will be fully glassed. Due to the location in the city centre, special attention has been paid to the soundproofing of the buildings. There is a two-level safe and heated underground parking garage, through which the five apartment buildings are connected. The architect of the apartment buildings is Mr. Martin Aunin, the interior finishing solutions are created by interior architects Mr. Eerik Olle and Mr. Ahti Peetersoo. The price per square metre of the apartments in the development project ranges from 2,300–2,850 euros.
