The company Geely from January 1st, 2016 will stop the import of car kits of hatchback Geely MK Cross for further SKD-assembly in the conveyor of Circassian plant Derways due to the fact that this model leaves the Russian market. The representative of Geely informed about it the newspaper "Izvestia", he noted that other cars from the Russian line in 2016 are waiting for restyling.

"In 2016, we will update our whole model line, and all the new cars will meet the standards of" Euro 5". With regard to the model MK Cross, then we do not plan to update this model and launch in the Russian market", - said the representative of Geely.

He also noted that an updated version of crossover Emgrand X7 will be available already in February of 2016, the restyled version of the Emgrand EC7 - in the II quarter of 2016. The decision on the withdrawal of the updated compact sedan GC6 was not made yet, however the car gets currently the Russian vehicle type approval.

As previously reported "AUTOSTAT", for the first ten months of 2015 sales of Geely in the Russian market were 9483 cars (-35%), among which 3716 cars were sedan Emgrand EC7 and 3334 units - the crossover Emgrand X7.
