OREANDA-NEWS. On November 17th the Governor of Kemerovo Region Aman Tuleev and CEO of JSC "Siberian Coal Energy Company" Vladimir Rashevsky launched into pilot operation the reconstructed cleaning facility of "Taldinskaya-Zapadnaya-1" mine of  OJSC "SUEK-Kuzbass" with a designed capacity of 2.7 mln tons per year.

An innovative feature of the module is its compactness. In order to do that a series of innovative technological solutions were used that allowed to abandon the construction of additional buildings, as it was meant in the original scheme. While the module has small dimensions, still it achieves the same amount of power that is produced by cleaning factories that are occupying at least twice as large areas.

Another feature of the new industrial complex, is that a significant number of the equipment used is made in Russia. At the same time monitoring and control of the process are automated.

Overall JSC "SUEK" invested 1 bln rubles into this project. Reconstruction was implemented within 1 year. 104 new working places were created.

Current project is a part of JSC "SUEK" long-term strategy on development of cleaning facilities that were approved by the Board of Directors of the company, headed by Andrey Melnichenko. The aim of this strategy is to improve sales at the priority Asian markets.

Under this program, only in Kuzbass three SUEK-Kuzbass' factories have now been reconstructed. The largest cleaning plant of S.M Kirov mine was lunched in 2012. As a result, the proportion of clean coal in four years at the enterprises of SUEK-Kuzbass, taking into account the input power, increased two times.

Right now the cleaning module of "Taldinskaya-Zapadnaya-1" mine is reaching the project level. Its capacity can handle up to 2.7 million tons of coal a year, followed by the implementation of the product-calorie 6500 kcal. This module can produce export-quality concentrate in two forms: 60-130 mm class and the class of 0-60 mm, which increases the competitiveness of products. Energy class of 0-6 mm is used for burning in Kuzbass power stations.

SC "SUEK" - is one of the leading coal companies in the world, the largest coal producer in Russia, and the largest coal provider to domestic and foreign markets. Production, processing, transport and servicing companies of SUEK are located in 7 regions of Russia. Over 33,000 people are employed by SUEK. The main shareholder is Andrey Melnichenko (92,2%).
