OREANDA-NEWS. The motor oils of TATNEFT have received a certificate from the Association of Automotive Engineers of Russia: this is the result of successful laboratory and bench tests of the TATNEFT’s oils by Russian automakers for a group of API SL/CF. The bench testing process comes to completion for oils CI-4/SL  intended for the use in diesel engines.

The TATNEFT’s motor oils have been obtained on the basis of VHVI-4 (API Group III) produced by the TANECO refinery. The base oil was tested by an independent laboratory APL GmbH (Automobolishe Pryuftechnik Landau GmbH) in Germany for more than 45 indicators as a result of which APL conclusion on Compliance with the requirements for Group III under API 1509 (American Petroleum Institute) standard was received. A single technological chain from production of base oils to production of lubricants and their packing allows monitoring the product quality at every stage.

Clients are offered an updated range of semi-synthetic oils of the previously produced series "Tatneft-Progress", "Tatneft-Ultra-Optima", "Tatneft-Profi", "Tatneft-Premium" and designed for modern petrol and diesel engines. These oils possess high performance and viscosity-temperature characteristics:

- low pour point provides for high pumpability and easy motor start at sub-zero temperatures: the pour point is not higher than minus 40°C;

- high thermal oxidation stability reduces oil oxidation at high temperatures in the engine and minimizes scale formation;

- low volatility reduces the oil consumption;

- the components used provide for excellent protection of the engine parts against wear and corrosion.

Selling of the TATNEFT oils is organized through the Company’s network of filling stations and retail outlets. The oils are sold in packaged form (in plastic cans and barrels), while the delivery to large consumers is made in  containers.
