OREANDA-NEWS. Air Canada has announced an increase to its service from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Brisbane, Australia. New, daily non-stop service begins June 17, 2016 and is a result of a revised bilateral agreement between Canada and Australia that enables increased service between the two countries. 

Flight AC35 will depart YVR daily at 11:45 p.m. and arrive in Brisbane (BNE) at 7:15 a.m. (+2 days). Flight AC36 will depart BNE daily at 10:40 a.m. and arrive at YVR at 7:15 a.m. 

Air Canada’s daily service to Brisbane will result in 264 jobs at YVR and in B.C.’s hotels, tourism attractions and businesses. It will also generate approximately 17.8 million in Gross Domestic Product and $10.5 million in wages to the B.C. economy.

Air Canada will operate a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft feature 20 International Business Class lie-flat seat suites, 21 Premium Economy and 210 Economy Class seats featuring upgraded in-flight entertainment at every seat throughout the aircraft.  Flights are timed to optimize connectivity to and from Air Canada’s extensive North American network through the airline’s Vancouver hub, while also offering in Brisbane, excellent connectivity across Australia.
