OREANDA-NEWS. LESTO hereby informs that on 28 December 2015 submitted adjusted final 2016 public electricity and transmission service prices to National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (hereinafter – “Commission“). Electricity prices were adjusted according to the amendments of Liquefied natural gas terminal law.

It is expected that the Commission on 30 December will decide to make public the new electricity distribution services and public electricity prices and their application procedure, which will take effect from 1 January 2016.

It is planned that as from 1 January 2016 public electricity prices for household customers will decrease by an average of 0.2 ct/kWh (including VAT);

Electricity transportation service prices for business customers that receive electricity from medium-voltage electricity networks will increase an by average 0.18 ct/kWh (VAT not included), for those receiving from low-voltage electricity networks will increase by an average 0.28 ct/kWh (VAT not included).

LESTO will make a separate notice after the Commission’s announcement of the final prices.

Following the reorganization of AB LESTO and the Commission’s issuance of the electricity distribution and public electricity supply licenses in accordance with the procedure established by law, the electricity distribution services and public electricity prices will applied to the assignee of the rights and duties of LESTO.
