OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2016. The Boston Whaler Outrage family welcomes its newest member: the unsinkable 250 Outrage. This bold center console model makes its world premiere at the Miami International Boat Show alongside recent additions including the new 330 Outrage and 280 Outrage, both appearing in Miami for the first time.

“Each year, the Miami Boat Show draws passionate boaters from around the world. There’s no better venue in which to show off our newest Outrage, the 250, flanked by several of our most popular models from the Outrage fleet,” said Boston Whaler President Huw Bower. “The 250 brilliantly demonstrates Boston Whaler’s commitment to Core Confidence, delivering an incredibly soft, safe, dry ride and an intuitive user experience.”

The 250 Outrage blends comfort and capability in a way rarely seen in its class. It is a powerful fishing machine, through and through, yet it’s also designed to facilitate long, leisurely days on the water with family and friends. It features an ergonomically pleasing layout with a full 360 degrees of walkaround, as well as high gunnels and thoughtfully placed handrails for added security.

Spacious, comfortable seating includes a forward two-person lounge with armrests, and additional opposing seating in the bow, which has been redesigned to provide an impressive amount of elbowroom. At the helm, an optional deluxe seat upgrade features an adjustable captain’s chair and stationary companion seat. Aft, a convertible bench offers more great seating, and folds cleanly away for maximum fish-fighting space.

Anglers will value the boat’s many great fishing features, including a large in-floor fishbox with overboard drain and dedicated 5-gallon bucket storage; gunnel-mounted rod holders; an optional outrigger-ready hardtop with additional rod holders; and a standard deluxe leaning post with a bait-prep area, dedicated tackle storage drawers, a pressurized 30-gallon livewell, optional second livewell and more.

Casual cruisers and anglers alike can count on reliable, efficient Mercury® outboard power courtesy of a standard 350 XXL Verado FourStroke engine. Notably, this 25-footer is also available with a dual-engine option, providing additional offshore capability and peace of mind. Several cutting-edge Raymarine® navigation packages are also available, including CHIRP DownVision Sonar™. Meanwhile, Boston Whaler’s precision-engineered deep-V hull, featuring full-length lifting strakes and a noticeable flair in the bow, guarantees a remarkably smooth, dry ride.

When the time comes to take a dip or savor a warm afternoon, boaters will appreciate the 250 Outrage’s large, integrated swim platform with telescoping ladder. Optional bow and cockpit sunshades provide added protection against midday rays, and an enclosed, portable head with pump-out in the console is worth its weight in gold during all-day excursions.

“Through thoughtful design and purposeful innovation, we continue to build on the strong heritage of the Outrage line,” said Jeff Vaughn, Boston Whaler vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. “The new 250 Outrage delivers comfort and capability for the angler or pleasure boater who demands nothing less than the best.”
