OREANDA-NEWS. Bank of America announces the opening of its first downtown Minneapolis financial center, located on the skyway level of the IDS Center (80 S. 8th St., Ste. 226). Much more than a bank branch, the IDS financial center is a destination for clients to connect to all of Bank of America’s financial services, personalized solutions and expertise needed to make their financial lives better.

“In opening our new downtown location at IDS Skyway, we’re expanding access to Bank of America services and making it easier for clients in Minneapolis-St. Paul to get expert advice for all their financial needs,” said Larry Kloth, Minnesota state and Minneapolis-St. Paul market president for Bank of America. “We look forward to engaging with clients in our new space and welcome anyone to stop by and learn more about what we offer.”

The design of this location, the first of its kind across the Bank of America financial center network, features several new elements to enhance the client experience. Upon entering, clients are greeted by a relationship banker who helps identify their needs and guides their visit. Clients can use one of several private offices to meet with specialists to discuss a variety of solutions options, including lending, Merrill Edge investing, and small business banking.

A comfortable waiting area features interactive financial learning technology and tools to use and explore Bank of America products, capabilities and services. Digital ambassadors are also on hand to provide answers and assurance when clients come in with questions about how to download and use our mobile banking app and online platforms, so they can benefit from the convenience they provide.

“The new layout creates a fluid environment where employees work together as one team to bring together the full suite of Bank of America’s capabilities and expertise for a more integrated and personalized experience,” said Kloth. “These collaborations enable us to better connect clients to the solutions they need to pursue their financial goals.”

Among the services featured at the IDS Skyway financial center:

  • Everyday banking, including checking and savings account services and credit cards.

  • Full suite of lending services for home loans, home equity and auto loans, as well as commercial lending.

  • Merrill Edge financial and investment services, including retirement planning, IRAs and 401(k)s, investing and college planning.

  • Small business banking.

  • Priority service through the Preferred Rewards Center, a dedicated team of specialists available to handle product and service needs.

  • A dedicated financial learning space with interactive tools and digital ambassadors to assist with mobile and online platforms.

  • ATM services, including ATMs with Teller Assist®, giving clients the ability to interact with a teller via live video chat.

As its largest and most visible location yet, the IDS Skyway financial center marks a significant milestone for Bank of America’s growth in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Two other locations opened in the spring of 2015 in Wayzata (1133 Wayzata Blvd. E.) and Lake Calhoun (2700 Hennepin Ave., Ste. 101). Additional locations will open in 2016 in Apple Valley and Woodbury, followed early next year by a site in Edina that will also include a Merrill Lynch office.

“Strengthening the relationships we already have with our 300,000 clients in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area is a priority,” said Kloth. “These new locations will provide current and new clients the convenience of in-person expertise across a broader range of Bank of America banking and Merrill Lynch investment products and services.”
